A welcome sight, the cafe is open after roller shutter problems this week.
Overnight heavy rain, but still plenty of early morning swimmers. Darker at 6am than normal.
Rustys pitch report:
Headed north early, found Simon, Ali, Jen and friend playing in the waves at the pipe. I need a little time to find myself. North of pipe towards Trident the water was tasting a bit metallic after all the overnight rain. The sand banks are holding well off the Corso flags for a body surf still. Clear and a bit fresh. Walked up the ramp with the front of the DX, mostly good reports of the bay, a bit murky but no issues.
Serial menace Andre the Baker pours hot water after an hour run & a Drinks Express swim. In the background David looks for his A Team & harem as he rushes down the ramp.
James, Taipan and Trooper discuss Monday morning strategies for the DX beach. Trooper notoriously talks too long at the turn around, and Taipan offers to do a quick trivia session if Trooper can curtail his enthusiasm. Taipan might have to wait for the FFF to return!
A bit of romance in the air. Liam snuggles Caroline. Zig Zag and Matt discuss also curb Caroline's enthusiasm. Not sure if she has forgiven me for barging her to one side yesterday half way back. Survival of the fittest I say. I need a little space to work it out
Blocky & Squirrel plan the FFF luncheon at the Skiff Club today. No-one is allowed to leave until the Driver departs....oh dear
Caroline's pitch report:
18 degrees, a bit wet. Guy tells about local legend Mick. Hot water is all the rage, steam rising from bodies, off the pavement, Michelin men. The Baker shows us his new Turkish teeth.
Photo bomber extraordinaire...
The Sales Team conferring on how to bring more optimism to the BnB.. Sarah from Sales & her handsome Sales Assistant
