So said Amanda with whom I almost collided at the Point. I concur even though the viz remains a stubborn 6.5/10.
Note the long shadows, pants and sleeves. Winter is coming. Can you believe that on Saturday week it will be June? As an aside the Winter Solstice and the full moon are only a day apart so get your full moons ready.
Here's a half way decent wave photo
and an over-edited photo of a drone.
Snorkel clone
Amanda said the 2 cuttlefish were in their usual spot (I think they must have evicted Teddy the Turtle a few weeks ago) so I made relative haste. At first I saw nothing but then teamed up with the freediving cuttlefish magnets.
At first there was only one but then he grew in size and turned an angry majestic shade of blue and we knew the show was about to begin.
This photo is actually from Monday when the viz was better. It is on the short list for next year's calendar.
These are from today. I learned lots from the dive photography course I did about a month ago and a very important lesson is to get as low as possible and shoot upwards of possible. These 2 big boys are obligingly residing in shallow water so it's quite easy (with the above photo they were so close and I didn't want to change position becasue I may have lost them)
The next few are from the dive course. I was able to get below these Old Wives with the sun behind me
What am I listening to?
This is for the Neil Young fans - a full capture of a very recent concert in NYC. It sure wasn't hard to find. I've listened to all of it and it is freaking brilliant. The young guitarist is one Micah Nelson, Son of Willie.
