We have been so spoiled by endless weeks of flat seas and with the start of spring I knew it would change. It looks like for me, today was the day.
Although from the shore it looked like a few small waves but as we got to the point I got caught out. First wave under and I felt something beneath me, turned out to be Georgina. She said she felt something go between her legs and it turned out to be me, so not sure how we managed that. The next wave swept me back towards shore, so not a good start. Ro said she nearly got swept onto the rocks but it's Hels birthday and she loves the surf, so a silver lining, for her at least. I got out at half way although I gather it was a quick, easy ride in.
Ro nodding which way is in.
I was also a bit put off by the poor viz although I did have a PJ swim under me close up. Temperature is up and kind of feels a tad warmer. Loving Guy's art work, as always. His fill ins do a good job too, it's a highlight of the day.
You can really feel spring in the air as it was warm on the wall post swim.
Dave and Ian in sauna corner, which we didn't really need today.
Ed and Sheena pulled out some seaweed that had balloon and string entangled, not good!
Getting ready for post swim birthday cake thanks to birthday girl, Hels.
James, Roz and Lainey discussing Roz's upcoming trip/reckie to Europe.
Nicci, buddy, Georgina, Ed and Ro enjoying the sunshine.
Cake time is the best time. Don't know how I managed it sideways.
Loading the photos has taken forever, not sure why but I've given up.
Enjoy the rest of the day, especially Hels and JohnDennett, who also has a birthday today!
Amanda
