What's better than celebrating a birthday with friends on a beautiful sunny day after a cooling (15.7 deg) swim in flat conditions and glistening water?
Celebrating your birthday AND reaching the 1,000 kms milestone on exactly the same day! A huge congratulations to Robyn on reaching that incredible milestone! We wish you the happiest of birthdays today! May it be perfectly fabulous all day! You never ask a lady how old she is, however I can safely say it's a number well below 1,000!
Due to the significance of the occasion, Robyn received a special visit from our former Queen who was here this morning in spirit (and a little body - thanks Greg!)
Jacq's son Toby was responsible for cutting up Robyn's divine red velvet birthday cake and making sure everyone got a piece. Thank you, Toby! It was also the lovely Mary Locke's birthday too today! A huge happy birthday to you too, Mary!
Amanda and Sarah helping Robyn (looking fab in purple today!) with her celebrations!
Kirsty & Dave were congratulating Sue on the excellent talk she did last night at BnB dinner with husband, Greg, and fellow BnB swimmers Ros and Lyndall (via video link), on their 800 km Camino trek they did in May over a 6 week period. People were in awe of the stamina and effort of the group but were also inspired by their incredible stories. A few people might be signing up for the next trip!
Every time I bump into Jo she is always up to something cheeky as can be witnessed here by the hysterics she and Sheena are in!
It was great to see Lenore, Peter and Justice relaxing and enjoying the fresh air and conversation!
Derek and Bindy are off to do some farm minding of Bee and Bruce's farm! Here's hoping Rosie and Greg (rather large pigs) stay in their pen this time!
Escapee Greg!!
Have a great week

2022 Winter Badge Ceremony – Sunday 9th October
You’ve done the hard yards and earned your Winter Badge(s), so why not collect them personally with all the pomp and ceremony the B&B can muster. Our Winter Badge Ceremony will be held at the Royal Far West’s Centre for Country Kids at 14-18 Wentworth St (opposite Rialto Square) on Sunday 9th October, at 8 am, straight after the regular swim! Everyone is welcome, family, friends and swimmers alike. Bring along $10 for each badge you have earned (credit cards accepted at this event). For the first time at this event, $2 will be donated to the Royal Far West for each badge purchased on the day. So, if you can’t make it, get your friends to collect your badge for you. Or if you have previous badges you have forgotten to collect, now is the time to do it.
A $5 per person donation will be payable to the RFW at the gate for hosting this event, and .... RFW will provide a FREE breakfast (sausage sandwich and a coffee/tea). Bookings are essential to ensure there is enough food. Book here NOW https://www.
