G’day from my home
Apologies if a fat finger slip resulted in an earlier misfire of my blog in its infancy :)
If it rained food we might be expecting a deluge of meatballs later ( who didn’t love that book) … and it might as well, because it feels like we have been hit by it all with more to come. Manus helpfully sent me this gloomy picture
The scene of ‘all closed’ today kind of thing.
My roving reporter Nicci kindly took some shots of todays scene and temperature. Gratitude Nicci. Gratitude Guy for braving the elements to adorn the temperature pillar. It’s our daily check in.
Diehard Capless (on bike) calls an emergency meeting with Henrietta, Gold Coast visitor Vince and others … rumour has it Capless was singing ‘raindrops keep falling on my head’ trying to get someone to sit on the handlebars.
Unanimous decision was taken for him to continue solo and stop singing.
This was the picture Greg Cole our talented photographer/ videographer posted a few days ago which captured the trifecta.
Water is unsettled, polluted and a few large sharks have been spotted by lifesavers (I am reading) so best to avoid the bay for a while.
Some had a shallow water frolic
The good thing is the bay will settle after the rain and we’ll get back to the swim and apre swim conviviality very soon.
Please be mindful and respectful of the advice given by our lifesaving friends, they look out for us all year.
My thoughts are with those abroad facing uncertain and scary times. 🌻🌻🌻
Stay dry, safe and Hambe Kahle ( go well)
Di 🌻
