Howzit Easter Monday. (Howzit =common Saffer greeting meaning hello how are you all rolled into one)
The water looked enticing beautiful and calm ...inside the ocean though was a cauldron of activity, bubbling shoals of yakkas darting about, droves of bitey itchy no-see-ums (sealice) some large brown jelly fish and the odd stinger... and dang still no sighting of the fever of rays seen recently.
Some of the WOWS shoal up before the swim. Edward, Robyns son joined for the photocall.
Drinky is back - we are delighted he is fit and well again. This lot were fairly sedate until I suggested they show the love for Drinks. Well they tried. Giving Welcome Drinks a whole new meaning.
The lovely Simon and Nic Phin with friends.
Lainey Lou and this bevy beauties. Jo, Shelley, Laveena, Clare, Wendy, Michelle, Leisa. And Martin.
The wonderful blokes of the bench who keep and eye on the dogs. With Bindi and Holly on kelp(ie)watch.
It was Lisa’s birthday today - this is the friend that got me into winter swimming sans a wetsuit. She suggested I could join her and scream together as we entered the water. An unbelievably good distraction technique! Try it at home first.
Lou Schaff baked the delicious cake. Lovely Lisa and her cake 🥰
WOWS ready up for #cakebytheocean
Summertime and the living is easy
The cafe was buzzing
A lifesaver with a whistle came to chase us away from the wall until we offered him cake #pieceofcake. Lovely Shaun with Lisa
Hambe Kahle ( Xhosa farewell meaning ‘go well’) everyone.
