Hoping the Easter bunny was kind to you.
Beautiful easter sunrise today. I was a bit later than usual as i was enjoying the extra hour of sleep. Sun's up.
Early sunrise shot yesterday. Magnificent April colours.
Water temp was a perfect 22.6 degC
It was quiet in the water early. Were you sleeping in or just enjoying the easter break and school holidays out of Sydney?
I caught up with a few swimmers at Shelly beach around 7.15am,
no sightings of the cow-nosed rays by these groups but they were excited by their beautiful easter swim.
Jeff and Tim are regulars, enjoying another brilliant morning
To the left the Warragamba group who would like to get here more regularly. When their friends say why bother comment why bother making the trip they answer, rather, why wouldn't you? Loving their swim. They love the ocean races and would like some company from some old hands, one day to Queensie and Freshie . Look for a shout out on a facebook page if you wouldn't mind accompanying them.
To the right of the pic is Linda with her husband Gem. It was his first swim. Well done.
Dr Phil accompanied Bruce. No he's not Bruce's personal physician but a pediatric cardiologist.
Some of the CTB marine life showing themselves today.
Don't tell me that you saw the fever of cow-nosed rays. I don't want to hear that.
I have been swimming in CTB for 10 years and I have never seen them. The best I got
was this one below, it swam up to greet me. Where were all of your friends??
A fever of cow nosed rays below.
Thanks to Alana Abercrombe for sharing her photos from yesterday.
Alana and Anne decided to do a triple yesterday and this is what they saw on the third leg of their swim. So special. I have been swimming with the BnB for 10 yrs and have never seen them. They turn up occasionally and gracefully swim laps of the bay, usually in the deep water. They have been spotted on a few days this weekend. I live in hope!! Seen again today......
