I went for a walk after work yesterday, wanted to see if there had been any improvement in the water versus pollution over the last few days. I found the washed up hot water system from during the week, sitting under a tree, labelled by the council, as if someone had illegally dumped it there. The seaweed is building and smelling, and water had less floating debris but some froth, and I found some wonderful people climbing down to pick up what they could from the rocks.
The froth that I"m told has now gone , yay :)
The lovely people I bumped into walking
So I left thinking no swim for me, headed down anyway for a look and see, today is another day after all. More people meditating now it's not raining, and a beautiful sunrise, once you walk past the seaweed, a big turn off for me.
I found Andrew chatting to Tim then Lyndall joined us. She had swum from Manly but decided to walk back as did Jason and alot of other people. Andrew is doing well post ear surgery, may just get back in the water earlier than expected. Tim is making a documentary, watch this space!
I headed back to the club after that for a coffee and chat session, always nice to sit and relax. Thanks to Melise for her wise words and advice, and to Georgina for the coffee and toast :) Didn't capture them on camera but maybe next time.
Jenn and Brian bravely entering the water through the seaweed
The walk yesterday finished off with a lovely sailing yacht going across the bay and towards Queenscliff.
