The attendees of last night's BnB Christmas party were happy to see calm, clear and flat conditions this morning! No thinking or effort required to navigate Manly, Shelly and back after a late night and p'haps one or two beverages under the belt. The water was beautiful and warm hovering around 19.7 today and not a jimble in sight. A bit different to last night...
Luckily these jimbles were not the stingy type and much better looking than their sea siblings! As you can see they like to feed on salmon and turkey - rather an odd choice for jimbles but hey who are we to judge!?!
Apart from the obvious reason to dress up and party with friends, the BnB Christmas party also raises money for long term charity partner, Royal Far West. RFW does great work supporting the health and wellbeing of country kids who would otherwise miss out on support. Last night we raised almost $2,500 for the kids! Thanks to everyone who supported RFW and congrats to all who won the raffle prizes!! These two lovely ladies work tirelessly behind the scenes at RFW to raise funds for the kids! Keep up the great work!
Jacqui, the red faced reindeer, won best dressed on the night! Congrats Jacqui!!
While Sarah didn't win anything in the raffle, she was pretty chuffed with one of her ticket numbers and was going home to frame it. F69.
The sharks at this table were given a wide berth!
There was no end to the table covering creativity!! Leonie was up most of the night making all the fabulous black and white decorations for this stunningly decorated table !!
Santa had his hand up waiting patiently to ask a question of someone. Not sure who that someone was, what the question was or whether he got an opportunity to ask it - but I do know his arm will be damn sore today.
Not only are the 6.30 swimmers early risers and good swimmers, they also have a penchant for writing and reading poems! If you want to know why Jon (or Frangipani as we learned last night) is smiling nervously, just ask him to recount the poem for you!
Jimmy forgot to put his shirt on under that stunning jacket. He didn't seem too perturbed by that though and the gals appear most pleased.
A big thank you to management for organising a great night and to Andrea for her motivating talk on resilience and community! A big thank you to the Steyne for holding the event.
If you didn't get an opportunity to donate to RFW last night there is still time! See below for details!
Lastly, a huge apology to anyone who missed out on tickets due to the COVID restrictions. Hopefully next year will be a very different year!
Have a fabulous week.

ROYAL FAR WEST: Turn your Christmas fun into a FUN-draising event!
2020 has been a tough year, imagine not being able to help your child simply because you lived in country Australia. The kids have borne the brunt of drought, traumatic bushfires and now COVID-19. Will you consider supporting country kids this Christmas when you celebrate with your colleagues, family or friends?
It’s easy to get involved:
- In lieu of company corporate gifts, accept life changing donations
- Pass the ‘hat around’ and collect donations at your Christmas lunch - $1,300 can make sure a child can come and receive an extensive week of assessment and treatment plans in Manly at our treatment facility
- Be quirky and ask guests, pay $10 for the Christmas dinner you’re serving to the extended family – for a good cause
All funds raised will go directly towards providing children in rural and remote Australia with the vital developmental and mental health services they need.
Sign up here https://countrykidschristmastable.gofundraise.com.au even just send the link around to your work contacts or friends, add a charitable component to your pre-planned Christmas activities at home, work or create an entirely new event to help raise money for country kids who are really doing it so tough right now!
