Around the swim today....
Congratulations to daughters of BnB swimmers-Obe (daughter of Petra E-S), Grace (Sarah C), Lily (Alana A) and Cleo (not pictured) for running a bake stall today to raise fund for the Australian seabird rescue organisation who do an amazing job rescuing and rehabilitating marine animals, including our sick turtles in CTB.
L-R Obe, Grace, Lily- The girls raised $320 and thank you for your support.
Ian and Jenny prior to the swim discussing the water temp,
a very warm 19.5 deg C on the shoreline and warmer in the middle.
Later, Ian and Jenny catching up with Sue and Heather at Shelly beach where they all agreed that the water temperature was gorgeous this morning.
Matt and Matt Hayes (recently home from his extraordinary 2.5 yr around the world sailing adventure. So many stories to be told of his adventures through gales, threats from hurricanes, pirate warnings, whales following the boat, dolphin pods, hundreds of seals together, great whites and not to mention the amazing sailing fraternity he met and the quarantine challenges due to covid restrictions whenever they wanted to land).
Meanwhile we can all enjoy a mini adventure each day in the swim, whether it be the challenge of rips and waves, sighting of marine animals-turtles, sharks, cuttlefish, octopus fish or encountering friends-new and old.
Pictures of the friends and conditions today....
Enjoy your Sunday
cheers HRH (Pauline)
