Thinking about swimming in the future? try some books about swimming. There is one I have read before which is unique in its approach: it looks at swimming in literature and art. It is called Haunts of the Black Masseur.
interestingly, there is a vimeo of the book for those who like to see the film rather than read the book: https://vimeo.com/260658367 ancient classical world, paintings by Turner to Johnny Weissmuller and Esther Williams (a serious diver as well as swimmer, as well as synchronised swimmer). The author died last year which is when I heard about him. He actually narrates part of the film. I liked it.
Thinking of swimming in hibernation is a bit like watching the film instead of the book.
I enjoy books about feats of swimmers. There is the book by Adam Walker Man v Ocean. I also liked a book by American swimmer--- who never managed to cross the English Channel successfully but tried 4 times I think. I found it a very moving: In Cold Water by Mike Humphreys
You should check our Adam Walker's swim videos on social media. Poetry in Motion.
As for movement - which I am doing even less of - I have come across arm swinging. Here is a shot of someone doing it but check it out for a bit of circulation etc:
I am still reading police procedurals on top of work with an occasional break for reading social media and then a break to watch tv. Nothing good to report EXCEPT that I disliked the books of Tana French on which Dublin Murders on T V is based and the TV show has the same big flaws that the books did. Just saying
