I was lucky enough to bump (not literally) in to Pauline and Ian on their beach walk this morning probably around 6.27am as the sun rose. As you can see it was a bit choppier today but the water still a warm 22 degrees!
Just a quick blog today as it's not really my blog day but we're down a Tuesday blogger. Help needed please! Above we have the gorgeous Fiona J swimming through a school of Yellowtail. Saturday was the morning with absolutely incredible swimming conditions but we have had amazing clarity most days.
An update on Ella the rescued sea Turtle. She had ingested remnants of a balloon and really long balloon string. She is recovering at Australian Seabird Rescue Centre Central Coast and is being fed oily fish. Go on their Facebook page to see the latest. Please don't buy balloons. They do so much damage...
That was my photo of Ella from a couple of weeks back.
We've had loads of brilliant blue Gropers around recently. Always such a joy to see!
There has also been quite a few Fiddler Rays. I saw 5 on a swim yesterday at 2pm!
This huge Ornate Wobbegong has also been spotted by quite a few swimmers> Alex saw him with a smaller Spotted Wobbie in it's mouth!
I was also very excited to see a Giant Cuttlefish on Friday. Let's hope a few more show themselves.
Would love to hear what you have all seen in the comment section at bottom of the blog.
Last pic, guess the swimmer
