Glorious day down at Manly this morning. It was 19 in the water and 18 and sunny out! Although the B&B can't swim as a group we are still allowed to exercise if we stick to social distancing rules. B&Bers can be seen at all times of the day swimming on their own or with a friend with or without pink cap... It is a good idea that we are starting our swim from all different parts of the bay at different times. Definitely spreading out...
Sunrise at 6.15am
Out of all the people I saw out and about this morning the people I saw not obeying the 1.5 m rule were the Rangers! Here they are having their induction training in ensuring people were 1.5 m apart!??
Early swimmers in the foreground Jonny and Nick keeping at a distance
Jon and Little Sarah are in their own 'bubble' so they can be close!
Ian takes the temp and it had gone up a degree from the 18 at the weekend!
Marco and Brian
Russian Kate and Ren
I've been looking for the Turtle for the past week but saw it lying on the bottom at halfway on Sunday. So exciting to see a Turtle. Much more exciting to see one swimming though so I'll keep looking!
This Blind Shark can often be seen skulking around on the rocks near the point
Although we haven't seen the Cuttlefish and Dusky Whalers we usually see this time of the year there's certainly been lots of big blue Gropers!
This Numbray gave us a fright at Shelly a few days ago especially when Barb stood on it!
Loads of schools of fish at the moment like the Diamondfish
A couple of photos from our recent holiday kayaking in Mexico!
A reminder: The Bold & Beautiful swim has been suspended until further notice.
If you are out and about at this time, please take care,
be safe and adhere to recommended guidelines.
Swim Log
It is OK to log your swims while the B&B is suspended, but there will be no badges awarded while the suspension applies.
B&B Blog
In an effort to keep you engaged during this difficult time our blogging team want to hear from you. Our bloggers have free reign during this time, so if you have photos or anything interesting to share, you can send it to our bloggers at [email protected]. Show us how you are spending your time in isolation. What is your favourite B&B memory or photo? Tell us why you love the group so much. We will share your stories and photos on the blog over the coming months. Please show your appreciation of our blogging team by commenting at the bottom of the blog. It is also possible that, in these difficult times, you have a need that someone in the B&B community may be able to fulfil (eg do you need somewhere to live, are you isolated and need help with shopping, or have you run out of toilet paper?). Feel free to ask in the comments at the bottom of the blog. Above all, stay safe.
