As Scomo's daily announcements continue to significantly change the way we live - we at the B&B are embracing these changes! Why? Because 'Change is as good as a holiday'! and if we can't go on holidays, then this is the next best thing!
Social distancing gives us the big green light to do the elbow flapping part of the chicken dance in broad daylight whenever, wherever we want with none of the self consciousness that usually goes hand in hand with the chicken dance! What a great change!
B&Bers demonstrating chicken dance social distancing - on land.
The A-Team demonstrating chicken dance social distancing in the water! (There's an inner dag in all of us! 😁).
It's B's Bub's birthday celebration today. Bub (right) can be seen here letting all inhibitions go as she practices social distancing in the most elegant of ways. B seriously looks like she is in the middle of the chicken dance! Di multitasks, drinking coffee at the same time and Champs shows everyone how it's done properly.
Ian announces another exciting change! Instead of the B&B Summer Badge ceremony being held at RFW this Sunday (due to RFW cancelling all indoor events), it will be held by The Benches in the sun (🤞) overlooking the water straight after the swim! You get to bring your own food AND there's no cover charge! How good is that!
These ladies are practicing a different form of social distancing. That's the beauty of this 'greeting' change. As long as you are 1.5 metres apart, you can greet in whatever way you like - really challenging our creativity and right side of the brain!
Mary's creativity sees her greeting John by blowing bubbles in his general direction but without spittle.
While this greeting between Jonny and Tylner doesn't look very creative, you should have seen what Jonny had done 30 seconds before! I can safely say it was the most creative greeting I've seen thus far!
Another great change which was announced by Scomo this morning - we can gather outside in groups of 500 or less now so there's no postponing the B&B swim! How good is that?
And finally - a few photos of the swim this morn! It started out a little chilly but the water was warm and a bit bumpy today. The sun was at perfect 'post swim coffee' temperature!
Enjoy your week!

IMPORTANT CHANGE - B&B Badge Ceremony
Due to new COVID-19 protocols, The Royal Far West is unable to host our badge ceremony on this Sunday 22nd March. The ceremony will still go ahead however, but will be held at The Benches (100 m north of the surf club) immediately after the swim at 8 am. Bring your own cereal and thermos as there will be no breakfast provided. There will also be no entry fee. Badges are $10 each and we would appreciate it if you bring the correct change to minimise the handling of cash.
We request that all swimmers inform themselves about the COVID-19 virus and take appropriate precautions to protect themselves and fellow swimmers from infection. Advice and information are available at health.gov.au
