Another walk around to Shelley today, more carnivals at Manly , people everywhere, surf skis and boards everywhere, tents everywhere, just a few swimmers and even less dogs.
Some of the swimmers making their trek around the corner:
I found some people stretching pre swim, very wise! I try and do mine at home or afterwards even.
The crowd gathering at Shelly
It wasn't a bad swim today, but quite bumpy and bouncy, I didnt' see the eagle ray Paloma told me about. Only a cute groper and lots of mados, my favourite little companions swimming through the bay.
A few bumpy waves in my path:
Here's Paloma and Jenny post swim:
Gorgeous happy smiles after a swim:
Tomorrow is Australia Day, special day at the swim. We have the national anthem at 7am outside the club, along the wall. Everyone welcome and be prepared for a busy swim. I chanced upon Caroline getting into the theme early, good for her.
This one was interesting too, Paloma again:
Jo and Daphne getting photobombed:
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, stay safe on the roads.
Stats from today:
temp 23, 200-300 swimmers, newbies? never heard sorry :)
The Monthly Dinner – 11th February 2020 – Guest Speaker
The first B&B monthly dinner for the year will be held on Tuesday 11th February at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. Her study includes both captive and wild experiments and aims to analyse distinct shark behaviour signatures. Her talk will cover variation in behaviour, social networks and migration of our lovable PJ.
