You, your body, is classed as a self organising system. This means it has the ability to continually interact with subtle changes (perturbations) in the environment and use those as an opportunity to reorganise itself to greater levels of complexity and efficiency. You're constantly adapting, learning, changing and evolving.
Your system is also non-linear, meaning that a subtle change in your day has the potential to create a massive shift in who and how you are in your world. An important goal in all of this is for your system to increase its coherence and, in doing so, reduce its entropy, or the rate at which you are breaking down.
OK, so what?
Well, this morning wasn’t just another swim. Of course, they never are 'just another swim'. However, by swimming north this morning, from The Point to the pipe, instead of across to Shelley Beach, we enjoyed a novel environment. Your system had to adapt to many subtle changes from its usual swim
within every one of those subtle differences exists the potential to create massive change in your life as you continue to evolve in new directions and reach ever greater levels of coherence.
