Stunning morning down in our little corner today with air temp around 15 but 20.7 degrees in the water! I spotted this Sergeant Baker today showing this long, feathery strand at the end of his dorsal fin. Always something different and exciting to see below and above the water with the B and B!
Superb conditions... gentle waves, fairly clear with loads of fish and sharkies lurking below...
Booty Campers at around 6.30am
Jenny and the Wows were happy to have Jenny's daughter Alex joining them today!
Alexis is swimming her second swim today. I manage to get Jim H in for a photo too!
Mark on the left could be 'Catch of the Day'. He was single and 'ready to mingle' a month ago anyway...
This is the humble and unassuming John Forster who has clocked up 4437 kms with the B&B, is 4th on the Pacific Challenge and is a mighty fine solicitor too.
Marco has just come back from The Kokoda Trail. Wendy and Leisa get around a bit too (travelling I mean)!
Greg may need to consult the Annie Larkin School of Colour Co-ordination :-)
Martin and Michele are off cycling around The Red Centre tomorrow
Sam and Lucy hop in for a blog photo
More happy swimmers at Shelly
A couple of Wobbegong captured recently. I'm not actually sure if they were fighting or mating. Unfortunately I turned my video off rather than on so no photographic evidence!
There are a few big Giant Cuttlefish in the bay at the moment
Bibiana and a Cuttlefish a week ago
The beautiful Numbfish a few of us saw at Shelly. (all photos here taken in last 2 weeks since my last blog)
Plenty of Duskies still around but they've moved a bit closer to Shelly

The Monthly Dinner – 14th May 2019 – Guest Speaker
The Next B&B monthly dinner for the year will be held on Tuesday 14th May at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. Our guest on the night will be B&B Swimmer, Peter Anthony, who has a Masters in Communication and has written a book on conversations. The title of his talk is You talkin’ to me? and is a talk about talking. Great conversations build better relationships, better businesses and stronger families. And can make you better parents, better partners, even better lovers. Own your hook, claim the wall, master the benches. Learn how to tell your story in your own best words, and why your way is the best way.
Please book early for this event as it is sure to be popular. The cost of the dinner is great value at only $25 a head, which includes shared entrees, and a selection of mains to choose from (including a vegetarian option). Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential: To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please book at www.boldandbeautifulmanly.com.au/bb-bluewater-monthly-dinner.html .
Sorry for the late and rather boring blog but couldn't get it out before work today. I did get to teach a gorgeous kindergarten class though with Jill's grand daughter and Emily W's daughter two of the students!
Keep swimming!
Lainey
