Good morning! It was a chilly one this morning, my car saying it was 11 degrees out as I parked for the 7am swim..
Despite this, the water was so warm! 21 degrees in and still shying away from wetsuit tempurature.. for now. The sunrise was beautiful, the rip out to the point SO strong, and some backwash off the rocks as you neared shelly but all in all a classic Autumn morning in Manly.
The few babewatchers that arrived this morning walking into the seemingly warm water compared to the brisk land temp.
Sisters Anika and Tamara happy to have braved the cold this morning! Ps. I will never get over this back drop! My favourite spot to stop and look back.
Bumped into Ian on the way over as he was swimming back! The shade as you come into Shelly is so much colder!
The 7am crew powering back.
When there’s only three babewatchers - so you can all fit in a selfie!
Swimming back in I found so difficult against the rip! Hoping it doesn’t hang around for long..
Thats all for today! Moral of the blog- don’t let those chilly mornings stop you from swimming, you won’t regret it!
