While this beautiful sunrise photo (photo credit Jac Shell) doesn't truly highlight the strong current and pumping waves this morning, the notorious nor-easterly provided challenging conditions again today as management warned to swim within limits and start from Shelly if any concerns. Listening intently to instructions some headed to Shelly, some to the harbour and some stronger swimmers, straight in.
Lainey (in white top with black writing on right) is showing off her stomach muscles with this pretty awesome plank at Booty Camp this morning before diving in and doing a swim. Some people are a bit too fit for their own good! No - we are not jealous! Well...maybe a tad!
Pauline is briefing newbie swimmer and family friend, Greg on the notorious nor' easterly conditions and passing on a good tip - when in doubt shut your eyes and hope for the best.

Michael is proudly telling newbie swimmer Geraldine and Danny about his new haircut which he got after he saw how long his hair was in a photo on Roger's blog on Monday.
Dorset, John and John were hugely relieved to hear that despite the notorious nor' easterly, Veena did not come across any blue bottles in her early morning swim today - so it was all systems go in a still, straight up and down kind of a way!
Then they were off - some tentatively, some sleepily (clearly not booty campers) and some jokily !
Champion was a champion for spotting the dusky this morning which was just under a metre! We tried to find it again and thought we'd spotted it so I took snap.....
.....but when the bubbles subsided it turned out to be a foot.
Ali and Alex were spotted enjoying themselves and taking in the beautiful scenery on the way to Shelly.
Michael was waiting patiently for the 'lets go' at the point!
At Shelly a foot was spotted but this time was definitely not mistaken for a dusky whaler. It was attached to the leg of Jac Shell and the tongue in the photo is attached to Jesse.
Inge and Gunner were having a quick cup of tea stop before embarking on the double this morning. They were brave because swimming in Shelly was like swimming in a Queensland theme park wave pool mixed with riding a smaller version of the Big Dipper at Luna park. Not for the faint-hearted!
.....and back at the beach! Well.... I just don't know what's going on here! Sarah, David and John....please explain! :-)
These two harbour swimmers, Sue and Greg, are off on two and a half weeks holiday to see their daughter in WA! Have a fabulous trip guys and don't forget to bring us back a souvenir. Doesn't have to be big. Just big enough so you can bring it down to the beach on your beautiful new red scooter, Sue! Despite what we were saying earlier, we promise not to take the scooter on a joyride while you are away!
And on the dot of 8am the boys drink their coffee.
And on the count of 3, point to the notorious nor' easterly and send it on its merry way! Notice how all the school teachers get it right! :-)
