Good morning! It was a rough one out there this morning, the beach is now closed and its no wonder why- big swell at the point, currents every where and shelly turned into a wave pool! The sunrise was beautiful though and the water is still so warm- seemed warmer in than out this mornin! Also thankfully we did not come across any blueys- did anyone see any this morning?
Because of these less than ideal comditions, we joined the majority (it seemed) of swimmers to swim from Shelly to halfway and back- as even Bower looked tricky getting out from. It was a nice walk over, watching the crazy ones like Muzz who enjoy hanging out at the point waiting for the sets to come through.
The swimmers that braved the point and swam to Shelly- a noticeably smaller crowd this morning! Glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t enjoy a rough swim. As one bold and beautiful swimmer said (who I didn’t catch the name of!), it is not ideal for those that like to bilateral breathe- have to say he was right!
The babewatchers that swam from Shelly! It looks decievingly calm in the background...
I saw this on the blog later last week and thought we would attempt it as well- not as easy at it looks trying to land a cap directly on your head. Nice try, Bron and Henry!
Myself, Conor and Steph- attempting a selfie at the pool, before turning around and swimming back.
Another Tuesday done! Who knows what Mother Nature holds for us next week. As I like to say though- You can never regret a swim!
Ali xx
