Our guest on the night will be one of our swimmers, Nicole Piha, who is an award-winning sports manager. Nicole has trained Super Rugby teams, as well as international cricket and rugby teams. Through her business, Ocean Swim Support, Nicole supports long distance ocean swimmers through training, planning and logistics before and during the swim. Nicole will talk about some of the iconic swims as well as the logistics around training and planning

I asked some of today’s swimmers, “Why did you start swimming with the BnB?”
Nicole, tomorrow nights guest speaker, said, it was THE thing to do.

Justus said, I was playing lawn bowls and hated it, then my son suggested I come to swim with the bold and beautiful and it saved my life.
PETER said, My son suggested I come down so my wife and I leave Lindfield at 6 o’clock every morning.
Errol said, about eight years ago I came down at the suggestion of a friend.
Drinky said, I love to swim in the ocean.
Rusty said, because of all the gorgeous girls.
John said, it’s the best way to train for open water swims.
Ian said, more interesting that swimming at North Sydney pool.
Alan said, I used to ride my bike along the beach and I ran into these people swimming in mid winter and decided to join them.
Madhi said, I was talked into it.
Clair, one of today’s newbies, said, it looked like fun & I wanted to join the club.
Bernhard said, I read Annie’s article in the Herald about seven years ago and I had to come.
Bruce said, I used to swim at Balmoral Beach club but I noticed these pink capped swimmers closer to home and decided to join them. I haven’t been back to Balmoral.
Kerry said, I started swimming as soon as I moved here and have not been back to Balmoral Beach club.
John Paul said, it was Kelly Jones who told me about the swim . I really like it as a sport because everyone’s a winner.

Irish Alex said, I heard about it while swimming at Boy Charlton Pool.
Sarah said, I lived on Ashburner St and was jealous of everyone having so much fun.
