What another lovely morning for a swim! There was a few marine life out there today, I heard whispers of a Wobbegong earlier, but after searching all along the rocks, he was not to be found! We did spot some other creatures though, and attempted to get photos (attempt being the key word).
This was our attempt at trying to be a photographer like Lainey- although looks like we have some work to do! I think this was a kingfish?
You may notice on Tuesdays, an increase in younger people swimming with bright pink Babewatch budgies. Tuesdays is one of our set B & B swim mornings, so if you're around 18-30ish, want to either start ocean swimming or join in a group that also socialise and enter events throughout summer, whilst raising money and awareness for mental health, come along! We love having newbies, and love bringing the joy of ocean swimming into everyone's life! Here is a little montage of our morning, usually followed by breaky at Bluewater.
Regulars Liv and Mikayla modelling the swimwear very well!
To be honest, I am not really sure what is going on here- looks like I need to work on the underwater camera skills. This is a very interesting take on how we get to Shelly, probably also why we got out at 7.57 this morning!
About half of the babewatchers at Shelly, very late after those underwater shots.
The 7am crew swimming back, I love watching different peoples strokes, and how no two strokes are the same! A great high elbow captured here with this mysterious swimmer.
Tom trying to give lessons on a better technique on the way back. Will never get over how this is how we can start the morning every day, swimming in this beautiful stretch of ocean!
A sneaky little ray on the bottom of the sand, coming back to shore.
Here I am, enjoying the feeling of another swim done, starting the day the best way!
So, if you would like to join in on the fun, anyone is welcome including swimmers just starting out. We would love to meet you!
Todays Stats:
Swimmers: 225
Newbies: 4
Water temp: 20.4 degrees, slightly cooler than last week!
See you next Tuesday,
Ali xx
