What better thing to do on a Thursday morning than pull yourself out from under that nice warm doona and head down to the Manly Surf Lifesaving Club for our daily dose of Vitamin Sea. This hearty bunch were some of the 6.30 bunch who head out even before the sun has risen.
LesBubs always takes an outstanding photo and was busy practicing for the laughing yoga this morning - there weren't enough participants however so it was delayed until just after 7am. There will be another session so make sure you keep an eye on the board for the next laughing yoga session.
See she does take a good photo!!!!!
Yesterday was the lovely Annie's birthday.
Nat's hair is growing back - her and Bin are always full of smiles whenever you see them down by the water.
The one of the left isn't a dentist - we think he's dreaming about being John Brown (for those that didn't attend Tuesday's dinner with Julia Baird, John Brown was reportedly Queen Victoria's lover and was allowed to drink as much as he liked and no one questioned it. The one on the right will be one of many getting his gear off for the Solstice swim to mark the shortest day of the year.
Tuesday night's guest speaker Julia Baird with "king of the Wuss's" Stirling (her words, not mine) and other members of the A-Team.
Julia talked her friend into coming down and joining her.
Yes the sunrise was spectacular, but what else would you expect from Manly - way better than any of those Eastern Suburb beaches.
Martin wasn't swimming to Queenscliff today - wonder why?
B&B is a great way to meet new people.
Or catch up with old friends - Melise and Georgina.
The WOW's thought it was a tad chilly.
Steve is just way too cool for school.
Finally these flippers were handed in a week or two ago. If they are yours let Ian know - we like seeing lost property returned to the rightful owner.
Have a fab day and remember
From Myrtle the Turtle!!

WINTER BADGES
The Winter swimming season is finally here!
Although the water temperature may be a little colder than you might like, there are several advantages of swimming in winter, including flat seas, good visibility and no bluebottles.
Perhaps the biggest advantage is that you can also qualify for a winter badge by swimming a minimum of 20 times between 1st June and 31st August.
You must also swim in at least 7 different weeks. If you manage to do all of your qualifying swims without a wetsuit (or other thermal enhancing equipment), you will also qualify for the coveted WWW badge (Winter without wetsuit).
So start now, and don’t forget to log your swims to qualify.
