After the large seas of the past week, today could not have been a more perfect day to dip your toe in the water. Even the whales showed their joy with a spectacular display of breaching and tail slapping as they made their way from Freshwater towards Bondi before the 7am swim, much to the delight of everyone on the shore.
The 6.30 Drinkee's Express headed out in perfect conditions to a backdrop of the surf lifesavers practicing their paddle board skills.
While Sean was fulfilling his management duties welcoming the two new swimmers and presenting them with their prized pink cap.

Tomorrow we celebrate the life of our dear friend Ed. A service for Ed will be held at the Northern Suburbs Crematorium in Ryde from 1.15pm followed by a wake at the Manly Surf Lifesaving Club from 3pm. Please join us in saying farewell to one of the group's true gentlemen.
