However you woke this morning you were glad you did today! Around 240 swimmers woke, one way or another to enjoy the 20.1 degree, jimble- free water. Here's one swimmer who was especially appreciative and very much appreciated today. A double celebration today for Rob Hawkins; his 65th birthday and 1000km swim! Congratulations Northbridge Rob!
Now this little tacker needs no alarm, 7 year old James lives across the road from the surf club- here he is playing in his back yard.
And Handstand Sam's finely tuned body clock gets him down to the beach and up on to his hands.
Here's a guy who's got it sorted; his electric blinds open when its time to wake up so he can cycle along the beach to join the B and B. Well done Rich, what a guy, what a find!
Birds, chimes, ripples and ABC radio wakes this happy bunch, ready to join the 6.30 swimmers.
Chris' wife was cold and woke him in time to join music- alarm- waker Bernie for a swim.
B and B legend John Bond needs no alarm, nor does friendly Fiona.
Drinkie just "jumps out of bed" to join body- clocker Greg and alarm- setter Sarah.
One of the seven newbies, Jill, wakes to a meditation alarm.
Another birthday- happy birthday lovely Jan, seen below with Trevor who woke to the sound of rain on the carport.
Simon (alarm) and Carel (birds) on their way out.
Body clock Paul had a big post swim smile.
Rozzie and Annie positively glowing post swim- very grateful to the local fauna.
Chris also glad the birds woke him early.
However you did it- aren't you glad you did?! - you never regret a swim!
