This morning there was a real Spring feel in the air. Watching longingly from the walkway, as I deal with what has been a most stubborn flu, I couldn't quite recall the name of the move but am sure it had something to do with an Archer and a dog but the rest escapes me. The elite morning Yoga crew certainly were excelling as we strolled past.
But I am jumping the gun as the day really started a bit earlier with these invigorating glimpses.
The sun was already well above the yard arm by the time we hit the crossing. Seems like I missed a few weeks as I don't seem to recall it
The heat was already forcing a shedding of the outer layers before I even was across the road.
The B&B board spoke the truth and dispelled the sub 16-degree fears.
And there on the table the invite to the Qantas cabin fever review. The story of Joy and her exploits to get to a working altitude of more than 40,000 feet.
The exploratory team set off to ensure the water was safe for the rest of the team.
A very relaxed affair with some rolling up well after the call to the point.
Even Elaine felt there was enough time and a gorgeous morning to justify a quick sprint to limber up.
And Patrick with a couple of passing tourists (Sophia and Melissa) offering to show them the more important points of interest
And eventually, the rest of the crew mozied on down.
And as I loped up the rise I spotted Jenny stretching out ready for the canter to catch the crowd.
Otherwise a very calm morning.
And even a lone halfway starter
And rising to the occasion Jenny sped by the pack as she eased into the bay.
And another perspective on our surfer girl creation. Really quite stunning up close.
And the pack huddled ready for the jump.
And from the deep south
But Melissa and Michelle could sense the photo opportunity.
And they were off home.
My apologies for the delay today but have only just got home from work and just didnt get a chance today to get this out.
Have a great week.
Brian
B&B monthly dinner: Tuesday 13th September
6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant
Guest speaker is Jude Furniss (Founder of Bommie Australia and President of Surfrider Foundation Manly)
Jude will present the film “My Saltwater Sanctuary” including footage from Cabbage Tree Bay, which was declared an Aquatic Reserve in 2002. We all witness daily the stunning success story of how protection over the last ten years has replenished the marine populations here.
NSW currently only has 7 % of its coastline protected in twenty marine sanctuaries, so Surfrider Foundation has joined the Nature Conservation Council in the charge to lobby government to restore the ten sanctuary zones still unprotected, and increase the percentage of marine park areas in NSW by establishing a Sydney Marine Park.
Made by producers Bluebottle Films, it's a beautiful film about locals living alongside marine reserves ... and the difference every one of us can make in the protection of them.
