Sorry for the corny blog title, I was stuck for titles this morning... But we did welcome back Ian and Pauline, Martin and Jim (not a couple ;-)) from their cruise around Tahiti!! It was a cold, miserable morning but there were plenty of warm smiles down at B&B Central and the water was... calm, clearish and ccccold!
Pauline is rugged up after basking in air temps of 28 degrees and water temp 25. Here it was 12 out and 17 in.
There was a bit of excitement at the start of the day when we saw Channel 7 were set up to film from our favourite corner. A few of us got mentally prepared to be interviewed. I went up and took a photo of Shane, Trent and ??? and told them it was the sort of day we might swim with a whale. They didn't seem that interested...
Never mind, this lot were all ready for another swim in the rain! The early swimmers reported a few Jimbles at The Point so we were advised to head North or close to the rocks.
Drinks Express returning.
Trish and Matt
The Point was a little closer to the rocks today, to avoid Jimbles.
Hopefully the fast swimmers who don't usually swim near the rocks saw a Port Jackson or 2, Gropers, Leatherjackets, Flutemouths, Old Wives and maybe even one of the 3 Giant Cuttlefish that have been hanging around lately.
A small group at Shelly but around ten people went North and reported a lovely swim.
Ian gets lots of hugs today!
This is the smaller of two Giant Cuttlefish who've been hanging around near halfway. I saw this one today but not his larger, more flamboyant mate! (photos of him from a few days ago to follow)
A few marine life photos taken since my last blog.
Porcupinefish looking very cute...
Click below for my video clip of this Porcupinefish followed by alien-like Giant Cuttlefish (very short)

Staying safe - a timely reminder!
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.
