Mornin' all. Inner Westies here. Yep, winter is on its way. Air getting fresh but water gorgeous and no jimbles or jellies.
In case you're wondering about why equinox is today and not tomorrow, the leap year is the reason. So start getting those wetsuits out of moth balls - let's all try and keep them off till 1 June! The sky was looking grey and menacing this morning - storms brewing perhaps?
And a tip for the newbies - as you're swimming back around the point into Manly, if you get stuck in a set of really big waves like this morning, just remember they come in groups of about 4 - and then the water will be calm for a while - enough for you to swim back to the beach without the menacing waves chasing you.
Few welcomes today. Let's feature the lovely Chiara in her fab onesie.
Hello Ann-Maree from Goulburn accompanied by the lovely Tom.
Celebration today for Lisa who has been swimming with BnB for 365 days! And as you'll see from her stats chart, she's a regular.
She also baked for us this morning - how lucky are we.
Here's her team.
Lisa, Monica, Jane and Daniel.
Twins Mandy and Sam were looking lovely today.
And gold star for Doogal, Chiara and Peggy.
Time to go
On our way
Shelley
Good sign - surf rescue boat on the beach and not in the water !
