The best time to be out and about in Manly is in the morning... especially on a hot day like today. It has that locals feel, lots of people exercising, and our little swim! This morning we even had a helicopter trying to take away the police boat on Queenscliff headland.
And joining us this morning at the swim was Manpower Manly!
Cracking swim in warm, calm conditions. Brad, Jimbo and I battling it out at the front. Yesterday Brad went hard off the beach with Jimbo riding his feet and then charging by at the end... so this morning he rode Jimbo's feet and made a charge at the end. Unfortunately there can only be one winner. Here he is with the effervescent Sophie Coombes!
My neighbour Jason came and did his first swim this morning. He was ably supported by his wonderful Irish wife Paula. They met in London, now have two beautiful girls and support the West Tigers (like me).
And to cap off the day it was my daughters first day at Preschool this morning... and our house is now strangely quiet... Amen, thank the Lord and pass me a chardonnay!
Finally, my Thursday blogging with its A-teamy, race reporty, Triple Crowny, Jesusy musings is coming to an end. Victoria is returning to work as a High School dance teacher on Thursdays so I will be on Luca Bear duty! Hopefully I can find another day to share some blogging with someone... but - that does mean we need a new blogger to either share or take on Thursdays! If you are keen (it is actually a lot of fun), just speak to me or someone from Management. One more from me next week and then its bye for now!
