94 'ticked' Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
There was some early activity this morning with a few people enjoying an early Bolderdash and Charlie Camphin, Dave Adams and Tim Holloway kindly checking the waters for us with an early double lap to Shelly and back.
The regular swim was full of adventure; starting with a complimentary seaweed peel, followed by a current at the point helping everyone sneak towards Shelly before we set off on a rock 'n roll swim with plenty of scenery... some of it marine, including sharks, 3 large rays, fan-bellied leatherjackets and the like, but unfortunately plenty of it was debris as you can see from Attracta Wolohan's collection. What a valuable role wetsuits have to play in our morning swims !
6km summer badge swims start this Saturday ! They start with the regular 7am Shelly Swim and continue on up to Freshie and back... There is plenty of stopping to re-group along the way, although of course as usual everyone swims at their own risk. Fins, wetsuits, snorkels and the like are all welcome... Check out the fantastic B&B on tour photos below of Peta Saunders swimming in 5 degree water in the beautiful Milford Sound, New Zealand. There are more too... to view them click here - Go Peta !!!
