84 'ticked' Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
5 people did an early lap to Queenscliff and back and 9 people enjoyed a bonus double lap after our regular swim this morning.
A few old timers who have been rather noticeable by their absence came back to swimming today which is very exciting !! :-) Leonie Atkins, Mary Stollery and Robert Sabato. I think it might have been the buzz from the Trivia night that has brought them back, it certainly can't have been the idillic conditions because there weren't any this morning...
Mary and Rob also brought along a newbie from their winning trivia table this morning, Mark Seeto. Welcome Mark and congratulations on Wednesday night. You guys look fantastic in your winners t-shirts. You've earnt serious bragging rights for at least the next month I reckon ;-)
A nice undulating swim to start the weekend with lots of rays, king fish, flatheads and our friendly sharks for company.
Check out the beautiful pink and blue in the last two photos, love the colours !!!
I've just added two of Gaetan's photos of super dog, Iggy all kitted out ready for his swim - serious cute factor :-)
There was a fair amount of debris suspended at the point too, we swam back with as much of it that we could stash in our cossies.
There are whales of Manly just now (10.15am) !!
There's talk of an early swim again tomorrow, who's keen ??
Just as a heads up one of our swimmers, Shane Donohue, is bringing items to sell for pink ribbon day, breast cancer research, to swimming and brekkie tomorrow morning, so if you would like to support this great cause please put some extra coins in your swimming bag ready for tomorrow.
Happy Birthday to Sue McGregor today :-)
