70 'ticked' Bold & Beautiful swimmers.
A sensational swim this morning, and great photos courtesy of James Goins all with a lovely grey kinda blue theme throughout.
The water was clear, flat and beautiful with lots of blue groupers. A little wave as we left Shelly Beach and Peter Graham said the water was wet... ;-)
We learnt this week that our regular sting rays are not actually called sting rays, they are stingarees ! Cute hey :-)
A couple of people are training for the 8km Magnetic Island swim at the end of July and the 4km swim across the Dardanelles at the end of August so there will be some swimmers doing a second lap of Shelly tomorrow, continuing on afte our regular lap at 7am if anyone's keen ? Everyone's welcome of course.
A great photo of Diana Robertson as she successfully completed the Alcatraz swim unassisted, in her wetsuit - well done Diana a fantastic achievement, what's the next goal ??
When one of our swimmers, Cathie Coleman was at Wollongong hospital for a term as a resident way back in 2002 she recorded this beautiful water song, Exploring The Blue, by Luka Bloom with a friend of hers. Cathie very kindly shared it with me the other day and it's so beautiful and perfect for all of us she has agreed to share it with you all, to listen to it please click here. Let's hope Cathie will perform it live for us one day :-)
